Buford General Construction did a COMPLETE remodel of my home. There is not a cabinet, sink, drawer or door that remained the same in the house. Meet Maury, George and the Family
Owner of Buford General Contractors, Maury Buford, grew up in small town Mount Pleasant, Texas. He attended college at Texas Tech University and married the love of his life, Dana. Buford was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 1982 NFL draft. He won a Super Bowl ring as the punter for the 1985 Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XX. He was also a member of the “Shuffling Crew Band” in the video The Super Bowl Shuffle, “playing” his personal favorite, the cowbell.

Giving one star because zero isn’t an option. Barrett came out and replaced 2 shingles and said and I quote I re-nailed down the loose ones. This was 5 days ago. Yesterday more flew off. Called and asked and was told in order for him to come back out to my house there was going to be an additional charge because those weren’t the two shingles that he replaced. Even though he said he re-nailed down the ones that were loose. Literally did not last five days see pictures.

I highly recommend this company. I had three roofing companies to my home, all of whom said my roof was needing to be replaced as it was worn out at 11 years of age. It was recommended to me to call Buford Contractors, which I did. The owner of the company came, inspected my roof and even fixed a vent issue that I did not know I had. He spent at least a half hour on my roof and concluded that my roof was fine! He saved me over $18,000 and I am so very glad I listened and called him. They are a reputable company that you can trust. This is definitely the company I will call for all my general contracting needs.

Buford General Contractors just replaced my shed and roof that a neighbors tree had fallen on during that bad storm in May. I am so happy with everything they did. Barrett answered all my questions, as insurance is pretty confusing nowadays, kept me apprised of schedules and timelines, the crew was early, worked very hard and didn’t leave until it was done. Their work was excellent, attention to detail outstanding and paint matching perfect. Barrett says they have been with them for over 15 years. Longstanding employees like that always speak well for an employer. Their bid was very competitive, they go the extra mile for their customers. From what I read on Nextdoor, many people are being ripped off by shoddy, dishonest “contractors”. Barrett and Buford General Contactors have integrity and are honest, which almost seems a rarity these days. So happy and satisfied with their work. In April of 2024 I filed a roof damage claim with Allstate, my homeowner insurance provider. Shortly before I filed the claim, I contacted Buford General Contractors in order to get an inspection of my roof and to get help in understanding the process involved in making such a claim. Mr. Buford performed the inspection at no cost and confirmed that the roof had significant hail damage indicating that a claim was well justified. He then continued to accompany me through the entire claim process, and his company performed the roof replacement quickly and thoroughly. He provided proof, including photos and rationale, to the Allstate adjuster of needed replacement items that fell outside the original Allstate estimate. Because of his persistent follow-ups of these claims back to the adjustor, Allstate ultimately increased its original estimate by approximately $4,000. I am very pleased with my new roof and especially with Mr. Buford's tireless advocacy in my behalf throughout the entire ordeal.

They did an excellent job on the roof, tying it in with the existing roof and matching the existing shingles 100%. Since then we have had couple of skylight leaks in our main house (old/existing). Called BGC, they were out the next day, repaired the issues - no more leaks! HIGHLY recommend! Reliable, honest and ethical. That is very hard to find these days!

Bryce eager to get the job. But once he had it he was not eager to make right damage work crews did to my lawn. The new roof, associated work, coordinating with Bryce on insurance requirements and HOA approval is/was fantastic. When the work crew was on site, it was clear they made ruts in the front yard. Bryce met the news with denial and deflecting responsibility. When I claimed the repairs would be $300 he never responded. It's disappointing b/c until I made the call to let Bryce know that the workers had rutted my lawn, I was really, really pleased with Buford Roofing. Buford Roofing was unable to repair my small roof leak after $450 dollars and 3 visits. Very slow to return my calls and even had 2 people show up to work on the roof without any warning. After dealing with them for 3 months without results, we found a reputable roofing company who was able to fix the leak very quickly. At least I give them 1 star, they did a nice job on the work that didn't fix the leak. Good Grief!

Buford Roofing was great with the whole roof replacement process. My first experience with Buford was about 7 years ago when I called them for an inspection after several of the “storm chaser” companies told me I had damage. Maury came out then, got up on my roof, and told me I didn’t have enough damage for a claim. Ofcourse he was right and I never had any leaks like the “storm chasers” told me I’d have if I didn’t replace the roof back then. That’s when I knew I had found an honest, local roofer.7 years later, when all my neighbors were getting roofs replaced due to storms this spring, I knew who to call. This time Maury told me I should call in a claim. I called my insurance and they asked if I had already had someone out. I told them I had Buford and gave them Maury’s contact info. Turns out that I must not be the only one who trusts them as my insurance co didn’t even send out their own adjuster. They just used Maury’s inspection, photos and estimate, and sent me a check for the replacement cost less my deductible.After having Maury and Kim out to show us samples and figure out some options, I had a replacement date scheduled for a few weeks out. Crew showed up on time, worked 3 long days straight in an unusually hot week for September, and I had a great looking new class 4 roof with all the right GAF roofing system elements that should last quite a while. Ofcourse, when it does need replacing I know who I’ll call again.Thanks to Maury, Kim and the whole team at Burford for making this such an easy process for us.

I had a reroof done a few years back. After the work was completed a slight wind blew my skylight off. During the reroof job the skylight was removed and put back on without fastening it properly. I saw the workers take it off. I called their office and was informed over the phone by the office staff that my reroof job did not require the removal of a skylight and that it had already been months since the job was completed. They wanted to charge me for a new one. Without any other recourse they, at the very least, had my now broken skylight put back and fastened.During the reroof, the foreman for the reroof could not get on the roof due to medical issues. Had he been able to get on the roof he may have noticed the missing fasteners.

I received a brochure from you today. it has been 3 years since you installed my roof and you still send things to my old address NOT the address I live at where you installed a roof for me. You charged me $150.00 to give a quote for a roof on a house I was looking at buying and told me that if the home owner used you that you would refund me the money. By the way I spoke to no less than 5 roofers and Realtors who reccomend roofers and not a single one had heard of charging for a quote. Well I talked the home owner into using you and once I moved in I called to ask for my $150.00 back and was told it's in the mail. Two weeks later I call back to say I never got it and was told it was sent to my previous address to which I reminded you that I bought and moved into the home you did the roof on and made sure you had my address. Ok the checks in the mail. I called back 2 weeks later to say I never received it and was told you weren't in the office to discuss it and was promised a call back. A week later I call again and was told the same thing. The next 4 to 5 phone calls over the course of about 60 days resulted in the exact same response of this will be handled and I would be called back. You clearly have call ID because eventually my calls went unanswered and dispite leaving messages no return calls. So no... after 3 years the home owner of my PREVIOUS address gives me your... "New year new us" brochure addressed to me I will NOT be referring you to anyone. oh and here is a little extra tidbit for anyone reading... your "crew" that did the roof of my wife's uncle's house in Benbrook... he pulls up to beer lids in his driveway and the men smoking a joint in his front yard. Yes a call to you rectified the situation but it never should have happened in the first place. Stop sending me your crap brochures. I would call to ask you to stop but again...you stopped answering my calls. And I was just reminded of something else... you didn't seal a seam where my flat and pitched roof come together and the roofer I called out after my sunroom flooded wanted to know who I used and I gave him all your info.

If you need a new roof, look no further than Buford Roofing and Construction in Grapevine. We had to replace our existing roof due to recent storms and these guys were pros. The crew came out early on day one and worked until the sun went down. They finished up late on day two and the clean up was so good you couldn't tell they had been here. The timberline shingles they used with the Z ridge look great and make our home look like it just went up in value. (don't tell the tax man) If you think roof, think Buford!
